The Diamond Jubilee Concert

You can say what you want, but the Brits certainly know how to throw a nice party. Tonight was the night of The Diamond Jubilee Concert, right in front of Buckingham Palace. With musical legends such as Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Grace Jones, Elton John and Paul McCartney and younger super stars like Cheryl Cole, Will.I.Am, Kylie Minogue, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J performing and the most prominent members of the British royal family in attendance, it's most certainly a high profile event.

I think it's beautiful to see how a milestone like a Diamond Jubilee (sixty years is quite a long time) is celebrated by the whole country. It's why I love monarchies, because I'm a firm believer in their worth for a country. The fact that Royals aren't chosen to me makes them a way better head of state. They are there for everyone, while presidents are chosen by a group. A majority of course, but still it feels like they aren't really for everyone. I know it's more of a feeling than that I'm really true and I understand why people call the whole idea of being born into the most prominent family of a country is unfair and somehow old fashioned.

But right now I only feel like congratulating her majesty the Queen and all of Great-Britain and the Commonwealth, on sixty years of reign.

Since the concert literally ended like thirty minutes ago, there aren't a lot of clips online yet. Here are  a few though!
