The Costume Institute Gala

Dubbed "The Oscars of the East Coast" the annual Costume Institute Gala, or just 'The Met Gala', is one of the most important parties on the social agenda. This year fashion's most beloved party was held on my birthday and yet I haven't been invited!

The wise Blair Waldorf once said: "Charity is for diseases and endangered species", no one seems to notice when we're talking about the Costume Insitute. Every year the Met Ball raises millions of dollars for the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute.

Since many consider the Met Ball's red carpet the best in the world, I can't help but selecting a few of the most beautifully dressed women (and a few man) who attended the event:

Carey Mulligan (Prada), Gwyneth Paltrow (Prada), Emma Stone (custom Lanvin), Jessica Biel (Prada) and Justin Timberlake (Tom Ford), Tom brady (Tom Ford) and Gisele B√ľndchen (Givenchy Haute Couture), Camilla Belle (Ralph Lauren), Claire Danes (J. Mendel) and Hugh Dancy (Prada), Kate Bosworth (Prada), Karolina Kurkova (Rachel Zoe Collection), Carolyn Murphy (Alexander Wang), Emily Blunt (Calvin Klein Collection) and John Krasinski (Calvin Klein Collection), Ashley Greene (Donna Karan Atelier), Marion Cotillard (Dior), Poppy Delevingne (Chanel) and Katharine McPhee (Elie Saab)
