Menswear Spring 2012: Burberry Prorsum, Bottega Veneta and Vivienne Westwood

It feels like it was only weeks ago I wrote my first runway show reviews for the menswear spring 2011 collections. How fast a year can go... Unbelievable!

Burberry Prorsum
Christopher Bailey again manages to surprise and please me. As you might have read before, I'm a huge Burberry Prorsum fan. This latest collection too, I think, is fantastic. This collection is very casual and there are not so many trenches this time. Also, you can see lots of Prada Spring 2011 influences. Not only in this Burberry Prorsum collection, but also in collections by almost all other major fashion houses. Especially shoes and sweaters follow the Prada trend.
My personal favourites this season? The oversized, graphic turtleneck sweaters. I could totally imagine me wearing those!
Bottega Veneta
Besides creating the best bags for men, Bottega Veneta creates lots of other beautiful things. They make very sleek suits and cool sunglasses and I admire their attempts to make jumpsuits for men cool. Admittedly, in this show those jumpsuits actually look cool. See my favourite looks below:

Vivienne Westwood
The UK can be happy with Vivienne Westwood as national embassador. She's obviously promoting next year's Olympic Games in London in her latest collection. At least she gained a nice spot in my series of menswear reviews, for I like this collection and admire Vivienne's devotion to her country.
