Paris Fashion Week: Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Elie Saab and Louis Vuitton

Today I’m reviewing four of my favourite designers, my final reviews of this busy fashion month:

Alexander McQueen
With rumours that Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen is ‘the chosen one’ to design the holy grail of wedding dresses: Kate Middleton’s one, everyone is extra critical. Me too. And again Burton didn’t disappoint. This show called “The Ice Queen and her Court” had lots of coats with fur accents, like the rest of the collection almost only in blacks, whites and greys. As usually, this collection featured some beautiful, typical ‘crazy’ McQueen footwear.

Lagerfeld decided to make a dark, sometimes kind of streetstyle inspired collection. Again he made a good choice. The latest rumours that Marc Jacobs will replace Kaiser Karl don’t have to be true. Karl’s still pretty good himself. And when does Chanel finally come with a real menswear collection? I thought the menswear looks were actually cool too! Also menswear looks from previous collections, like for example pre-fall 2011.

Elie Saab
I absolutely love Elie Saab, but I don’t really know what to say about it more. Just that I still love his dresses, even after a busy Award Season.

Louis Vuitton
Kate Moss? Naomi Campbell? Marc Jacobs arranged some great names for this show. I have to admit these clothes deserve to be worn by such supermodels. I liked the hotel theme. Especially in this provocative, kinky way. Accessories are sublime as always too!
