Best of 2010: (Style) Icons of the year

I couldn’t pick just one person as my favourite (style) icon of the year, so I decided to pick three girls. Three of my favourite actresses: Blake Lively, Emma Watson and Leighton Meester. All three of them seem to have finally entered the world of the rich and famous for good, even though they have been famous for a couple of years now.

Blake Lively
In my eyes one of the sexiest women alive. She’s beautiful, but she is definitely talented too. As the new face of Chanel and BFF of both Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour, she is one of the hottest celebrities in fashion right now. Christian Louboutin even named a shoe after her! Blake graced the cover of American Vogue for the second time this year for the June issue and a third time for the Best-Dressed-issue and sat front row at Chanel ánd Dior Haute Couture. Blake is known for not wanting a stylist for personal use. Nevertheless she looks almost always amazing!

Emma Watson
When shooting for Harry Potter ended this year, Emma Watson decided to cut off her curly hair. She posted a photo of her new Pixie-cut on twitter; the whole world instantly loved it. At the age of twenty, Emma has already been the face of Chanel and Burberry, a Vogue UK cover girl and one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. She appeared on a several Harry-Potter-related events in a new, never seen before style; sexy, but sophisticated and ultra fashionable.

Leighton Meester
This year was a good year for Leighton. Gossip Girl is still going strong, her new movie Country Strong, for which she won Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Awards, is one of the most anticipated movies early next year and she signed contracts with Herbal Essences, Vera Wang and Missoni. Just like Blake, Leighton is a popular celebrity in fashion. She sat front row at Derek Lam, Philip Lim, Proenza Shouler and Chanel. Despite a few fashion faux passes, she has one of the coolest and daring styles in Hollywood.
