Best of 2010: Haute Couture show of the year

The only fashion shows in the world I like to watch more than the annual Victoria’s Secret show (just kidding XD) are the Haute Couture shows in Paris. As I said in my Haute Couture post last july, I admire the craftsmanship of each and every piece in a Haute Couture show and love the almost surreal world created by the designers.

I absolutely liked all of the Haute Couture shows this year, but for me it’s obviously the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2010 Haute Couture show that is the best show of the year. Not only for the wonderful, dramatic pieces of art inspired by flowers John Galliano created, but also for it’s familiarity with Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, which is one of the best and most successful movies made this year. Galliano did a fantastic job and I’m already excited for his next Haute Couture collection for Dior.
