Paris Fashion Week: CHANEL

It’s impossible not to love Chanel. Just watch the shows. Have you ever seen a high end fashion show as spectacular as Chanel’s? I don’t. This time Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a huge Versailles-like garden, complete with three enormous fountains. Eighty models walked the show and a full orchestra of eighty musicians did a very good job on music.

Then the clothes, I really adored them. The classic Chanel suit in so many different forms. Different colours, different shapes, different styles. This collection was actually edgy and really felt young. I loved that. Look at the jeans combined with tweed, young but Chanel-chic. You don’t have to be over thirty to be allowed to wear Chanel. At least, not for this collection.

Karl really, really, really did a good job. I just don’t really know how to describe it. You have to watch the show to see how great it is.
